Attention! Oportunity for digital artists

From April 5 to 23, 2021, a call for crypto art for digital artists will be open. At the initiative of the curator Marisol Salanova in collaboration with the digital site Arteinformado, the event aims to lead to an online exhibition on May 18, which, in addition to the winning works, will present the corresponding curatorial text and whose pieces can be purchased at the platform.
All Ibero-American creators with work in digital format can participate in the event, regardless of their age or gallery representation. Of them, only 15 will be selected by the curator and will participate in the final exhibition.
Each artist, after signing up and reviewing the contest rules, must follow three fundamental steps to present their work. First, publish for free, before April 23, a tokenizable work (that has or may have an assigned NFT), for this the artist must log in and access the Artwork Gallery in Arteinformado. The second step, with the work published, will be to edit it and link it with the exhibition, which will be promoted between April 23 and May 17. If the work to be submitted is hosted on an external website, the corresponding URL can be edited and added.
The call joins the recent actions aimed at promoting crypto art as a way of experimentation and adaptation of all kinds of creations in the digital environment. During the pandemic, the art market has seen the need to assume these new ways of understanding art and collecting has seen a twist in its ways of doing things, especially with the elimination of mediators and the appearance of the intangible exchange .
Thanks to the emergence of NFTs and initiatives for their development, the value and sale of works of art now depend exclusively on their author. It is a technological combination that enables the exclusive signature of the artist and limits counterfeiting and pirating of works.
In the field of crypto art and NFTs there is still much to explore and discover, hence the virtual paths in art are increasingly exciting and promising.
If you have not made up your mind yet, we recommend that you visit Arteinformado and other websites and apps to venture into crypto art and NFTs.
